Manatees can be saved despite all the dangers they face. But we all must take action immediately. Conservatives are people who work to protect animals, plants and other natural resources, they struggle to enforce laws prohibiting the hunting of manatees. They are also working with state agencies to establish refuges and marine sanctuaries (protected areas), where manatees can live without being disturbed by hunters, boats and pollution. Scientists are investigating the behavior of manatees, so that we can better understand these animals. Everyone should realize the dangerous situation faced by manatees, to protect them.
